Symptom

You are using the SAP Business One Mailer application and have configured it with the Gmail SMTP service account.

The SAP Business One Mailer cannot send messages because it has been configured using the username and password created when generating the Gmail account.

When checking the test connection button via the Mailer settings, you receive the following error message and no e-mail is sent.

Error Message :

"Test result: failed

Message: Username or password is incorrect."

Reproducing the Issue

You have configured the SAP Business One Mailer settings using a Gmail personal or corporate account through the SAP Business One Service Manager (MSSQL), the Mailer Settings on Job Service Configuration (on HANA) or by using the general settings on SAP Business One Client (on MSSQL or HANA).

Cause

As of 30th of May 2022, Google no longer supports the use of third-party apps or devices which ask you to sign in to your Google Account using only your username and password.
