Symptom
As of SAP Business One 10.0 FP 2508, you need to set proper authorizations when the attachments folder is in the Users directory or a network path.
Reproducing the issue
1. Go to Administration → System Initialization → General Settings → "Path" tab.
2. In the Attachments Folder field, choose the ...(Bowse) button. The Browse For Folder window appears.
3. Select the required folder.
When selecting the attachments folder that is under the Users directory (for example, C:\Users\XXX) or a network path (for example, \\<Network Address>\<Shared Folder>), the following error message appears:
The attachments folder has been created in the Users directory. Assign the proper user authorizations to ensure the functionality of the mailer when accessing attachments. For more information, see SAP Note 3606877.
Solution
Grant Full Control authorization to the user NETWORK SERVICE for the folder (for example, C:\Users\XXX or \\<Network Address>\<Shared Folder>) to ensure proper mailer functionality.
